Robert J. Henry
AU.D., F-AAA
Robert J. Henry, AuD, F-AAA, co-founder of Audiology Associates, is a board certified clinical audiologist. He is a licensed audiologist in both Michigan and Ohio. Dr. Henry is a fellow in the American Academy of Audiology and has been active in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Academy of Dispensing Audiology, American Auditory Association and the Michigan Academy of Audiology. He has earned the scholar designation from the American Academy of Audiology.

Dr. Henry’s academic credentials include Bachelor of Science and Masters Degrees from Central Michigan University and clinical Doctorate from Arizona School of Health Sciences, Mesa, Arizona.

Dr. Henry began his career with the State of Michigan providing services to the mentally and physically disabled. He has been a paid consultant to Ford Motor Company and Michigan Bell Telephone. Dr. Henry opened one the first professional hearing aid dispensing practices and was one of the first audiologists to be licensed in the State of Michigan as a hearing aid dealer.

Dr. Henry is committed to educating patients and their families about their hearing loss and all treatment options. He realizes that each patient has unique needs, expectations, and believes in allowing the patient to determine their own direction. Dr. Henry’s offices contain state of the art equipment to provide cutting edge hearing solutions.

During off hours, he can frequently be found chasing Walleye in the bay.





Laurie S. Nastas

Laurie Nastas graduated from Michigan State University in 1979 with a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. She then received her Master of Arts degree from Wayne State University in 1981. At her first place of employment, Laurie’s supervisor was Robert Henry, and they have worked together during most of the past 26 years. Since that time, she has been employed by Otologists, Otolaryngologists, hospitals, medical clinics, Ford Motor Company, and private practice audiologists before opening her own private practice in Trenton, Mi. In 1996, she and Robert became partners and opened Audiology Associates in Toledo, Oh.




John R. Schuneman

Mr. Schuneman has been active in the field of Audiology for 45 years since graduating from Michigan State and Western Michigan Universities.
His clinical experience includes: The Michigan Department of Health, J.R. Schuneman & Associates, Dearborn E.N.T. Clinic, Toledo Clinic and Toledo ENT.
He is a co-author of a research article “Open Canal Amplification” when appeared in the journal of American Academy of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology.
Professional Affiliations include being a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Mr. Schuneman was the first Audiologist in the State of Michigan to become a licensed hearing aid dispenser.
